Ytri Island Retreat is a high-end destination located in the breathtaking Træna archipelago, far out at sea on the Norwegian coast. With 38 exclusive rooms, a Michelin-ambitious restaurant, sauna facilities, and a private marina, we aim to deliver world-class experiences rooted in nature, authenticity, and the unique atmosphere of the Arctic seascape.

We're a sustainability-led kitchen, caring equally for the health of our guests and the joy of their experience. We are now looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

This position is available immediately on an initial 2-month full-time contract, with the opportunity to extend into a permanent full-time position.

Responsibilities Prepare and execute high-end dishes in close collaboration with our Head Chef and the culinary team. Work with premium produce from the sea, sourced from local fishermen and gatherers, alongside the finest seasonal ingredients from the region. Contribute to the restaurant's Michelin ambitions through precision, creativity, and consistency. Maintain high standards of hygiene, organisation, food safety, and sustainability throughout daily kitchen operations. Contribute ideas and creativity to the continuous development of our menus and guest experience. Qualifications Culinary degree or equivalent professional training. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in fine dining or ambitious restaurants. Strong technical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures. A positive, professional, and collaborative team player. Fluent in English. Scandinavian language skills are an advantage.

Personal Qualities We are looking for a chef who is passionate about French-Nordic cuisine, local ingredients, and sustainable, creative cooking.

You are reliable, hardworking, and motivated to grow within an ambitious international team. You enjoy working collaboratively, take pride in your craft, and are comfortable living and working in a remote yet spectacular natural environment.
